Many of the large corporate game companies need to adapt or die. Ubisoft drew conclusions based on the fact that no one wanted to buy their single player games anymore and failed to consider that this is because they're now woke garbage.

Not really. A lot of these studios need to fail to make room for new studios. Remaining studios will learn from the failing companies and start focusing on shit people like (hint: not the weird furries with cartoony guns or "diversity").

That is not how irl works. You can already see how Risk-Averse everything is now. There is no creative destruction. VC would see Ubisoft fail and be less inclined to invest in Firms.
Nintendo - very few games
Valve - No Games
Sony - very few games, all Liberal af
MSFT - No Games
Live Service - Ruined, Afraid, Cancelled
also the schlockiest games make the most money. Mobile. Gacha (including RE9). You name it. Death Stranding 2 makes No Money and critics don't even like it. The "Make a Good Game" strategy doesn't work anymore.
if the entire industry Failed like in the North American Gaming Crash of 1983 then you'd have creative destruction. A few Firms failing while the industry is still growing is going to make everything more risk-averse. You'll get Fewer Games, and more Games that are The Same.
