Buzzy Peltola died a few hours after a plane crash on September 12, 2023, while piloting a load of moose meat out of a remote hunting camp near St. Mary's, Alaska on a Piper PA-18 Super Cub.
The National Transportation Safety Board found that the crash was caused by the plane being loaded beyond its weight capacity and the attachment of moose antlers to its wings. |
