Complaint for Harassment and Abuse of Process
UNITED STATES DISTRICT COURT FOR THE SOUTHERN DISTRICT OF NEW YORK
JOHN BARRON, Plaintiff, Case No.: 26-CV-0211
v. COMPLAINT
JOHN DOE, d/b/a "Covid was a Hoax," Defendant. JURY TRIAL DEMANDED
I. Parties
Plaintiff John Barron is an individual and resident of Palm Beach, Florida.
Defendant, whose legal identity is currently unknown, is a user of the website xoxohth.com (hereinafter "the Platform") operating under the pseudonym "Covid was a Hoax."
II. Jurisdiction and Venue
This Court has subject matter jurisdiction pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 1332, as there is diversity of citizenship and the matter in controversy exceeds $75,000.
Venue is proper in the Southern District of New York under 28 U.S.C. § 1391(b) as the Platform is a widely accessed digital forum that conducts business and impacts individuals within this district.
III. Factual Allegations
On February 11, 2026, at 7:09 PM, Defendant published a public statement on the Platform: "nothing can wipe out lawmaxxing."
The Platform, xoxohth.com, is an anonymous message board frequently used by members of the legal profession to discuss litigation, law school, and legal strategy.
The term "lawmaxxing" is a colloquialism within digital subcultures referring to the aggressive or exhaustive utilization of legal procedures to achieve a desired social or professional result.
Plaintiff alleges that the publication of this statement on a legal-centric forum constitutes a call to action for users to engage in coordinated legal harassment against the Plaintiff.
Defendant’s username, "Covid was a Hoax," indicates a history of disseminating contrarian viewpoints, suggesting the post was intended to incite disruption.
IV. Cause of Action: Tortious Interference
Plaintiff incorporates the allegations in paragraphs 1 through 9.
Defendant’s public advocacy for "lawmaxxing" on a legal industry forum is an intentional effort to interfere with Plaintiff's legal interests and professional reputation.
Plaintiff has incurred and will continue to incur damages, including legal fees and reputational harm, as a direct result of these communications.
V. Prayer for Relief
Plaintiff requests the following:
Entry of a preliminary and permanent injunction restraining Defendant from further communications inciting legal action against the Plaintiff on the Platform.

I understand the trauma response/learned helplessness that causes you and others our age to see it this way, but it’s very possible, even more likely than not, that this is the opposite, and we should embrace it as such. Ie the actual boomer ie 62+ year old white collar professional who can credibly present himself as able to keep up with this is such a vanishingly small less than 5% of the boomer power structure in Corporate America that we can safely ignore and/or co-opt and absorb it. The companies themselves who are driving this are effectively led and powered by Xennials and Millennials. We may need to use a ladder pull up initial step to consolidate our power play before directly attacking the boomers, but it is simple enough to threaten the boomers if they refuse to leave (ie the same thing they did to their elders in the 90s/00s using productivity gains from PC adoption and the early internet). More often than not the process of pushing them out is as simple as allying with the external consultants who are tasked with implementation, making sure the benchmarks in early phases are achievable, and then threatening to leave/getting offers from competitors if and when the entrenched boomers refuse to retire and/or try to cast the work of adoption as a specialist niche v the key strategic lever that should determine the makeup of future leadership. The next 5 years should be the great boomer corporate reckoning if our Gen can manage to pull ourselves away from screen addiction to bother to try at all at this for as little as 30-60 minute sessions 2-3 times a week.

CS is fucked but pretty much everything within a decade except some outliers like CEO, sex worker, etc. AI, self-driving vehicles and AI-controlled robots means that you don't need people to bag groceries, run a store, stock shelves, deliver anything, code, sell stuff, etc. Corps will be a few execs and strategy people, a few lawyers, some people that do infosec and comms, and that's about it.

The ability to refine prompting and QA agent outputs will always require domain expertise and a baseline of AI awareness (that will be at most minimally technical, somewhat akin to a median white collar professional grasping the basics of office networking in the 90s web design, infrastructure and terminology in the late 90s-mid 00s). The incremental improvements in prompting and outputs will massively increase in value as the revenue follows to those workflows and products, but so far it looks like that will be a slow process over the rest of our careers (like ecommerce proved to be during the first half of our careers) instead of an overnight shift like every douche bag chasing investor capital is pushing right now.

I get what you are saying, but when do you think these models will be able to produce truly novel work in say math or physics?
I also get the fact that this is where the conversation is at with regard to AI ability (when NLP was still extraordinarily difficult for even simple application just a few years ago) means that nothing is off the table. But this still remains to be seen.
Solutions to e.g. millennium prize problems are not out there no matter where you look or how the model is able to generalize or synthesize.

To be fair,
Whoa -- imagine my shock that right here on XO (the bort where Pumos are constantly shitting on me for being a "fucking retard dumbass" on the topic of Tesla FSD), I walk into this thread and immediately discover a Pumo who clearly has no idea what's actually going on with the technical aspects of Tesla FSD in 2026. I'm shocked!
"Computer programmers" basically have nothing to do with Tesla's current FSD code, at least in any traditional sense. After years and years of exhaustive incremental refinements done by armies of brilliant and accomplished human computer programmers (which ultimately resulted in software that was objectively impressive on many levels but still nowhere near where it needed to be for truly autonomous self driving), a few years ago as AI was first starting to really come to the forefront Elon harnessed all of his compute power and started using AI programs to "train" FSD organically (and rewrite the code themselves from the ground up using their learnings from that training) by leveraging Tesla's massive and unparalleled private stockpile of real world driving video / data.
[SIDEBAR: This is a good place to point out that Waymo's FSD system is fundamentally different from Tesla's FSD system on a critical point -- Waymo's system is designed to only operate within specific geofenced areas that have been exhaustively mapped out first using maps which are regularly updated. Waymo thus needs to respond to changes in traffic patterns and human behavior, but it only needs to do that on terrain which it knows like the back of its hand. By contrast, Tesla is designed to perform the same task but do so anywhere -- including on roads in cities it has never encountered before, which creates a full magnitude of additional complexity that needs to be accounted for in Tesla's code. This is one of the many reasons why at the end of the day, Waymo will simply never be able to compete with Tesla at scale across the globe, because according to Elon the only way to solve that problem is to leverage AI to train on a MASSIVE database of real world data and write code from the ground up which covers basically every possible edge case, and Waymo only has a tiny fraction of the data that Tesla has at its disposal and it has no viable path to catch up anytime soon.]
At this point, it's safe to say that basically no one in Tesla has any fucking idea what's ACTUALLY going on with the FSD code on a fundamental technical level -- all they know is the process by which it was created, the process by which AI is continuing to refine it, how well it currently works in the real world, and (roughly speaking) what edge-case weaknesses still need to be shored up moving forward.
Without AI, Tesla -- and all of its competitors in the FSD space that are trying to create programs which can actually drive you around anywhere in the world -- would still be limping along. AI was, and remains, the gamechanger in that field. Why do you think Elon decided to go all in on AI and basically leverage the future his entire empire in order to try and quickly win that battle and then build a giant moat around his competitive advantage as quickly as humanly possible? After a decade of unsuccessfully throwing tons of money and some of the smartest people on Earth at the FSD problem to try and create a program that truly solved it in a universal way, he saw what AI did and how quickly it accomplished it and he realized that this is the most powerful tool ever created in human history by several orders of magnitude, and he is uniquely position to get in on the ground floor and harness it for his own purposes moving forward.
