I assume every brief will have a useless generic one sentence declaration saying that AI was used to assist in the preparation of this brief, and nobody will actually have to disclose the extent to which they used AI.

The law has a lot more to it than that. Provisions states bar would be putting in place on their own to protect the scholarship and rigor of the practice of law. E.g., no delegating your practice to AI. No putting data into AI systems that lack confidentiality restrictions.

What does delegating your practice to AI mean? There are attorneys with 50 paralegals doing all the work. Whatever they delegate to paralegals is fine for Ai?

The retarded boomers who enacted this don’t realize that every thing is AI. If Word autocompletes the date in your brief from Octo to October that’s AI. That’s why this is totally stupid.

And who walks in to argue a motion and has cases they don’t even know actually exist? Like how does that work lol. And what does that really have to do with AI

Most attorneys were doing that before ai and using stock briefs with incorrect holdings and propositions that don't exist in case law. And never read any case law. Funny that only because ai exists, everyone will now be forced to read every single case now and use them correctly or be accused of using ai

Most? I’ve never even heard of this. I read the cases before I start writing so I know what im talking about. Thought everyone did that lol never asked
