the main character is bemoaning the degeneracy in 1970s NYC and blames the American 'ruling class' (the WASPs) for letting everything go to pot, abandoning their duties to be stern and impose order.
but Jews will often argue contradictory things in the same breath, as required. it's just a game to them. |
