Trump seems very open to letting Iran profit in exchange for reducing gas prices, but I doubt Israel will accept that long-term. They wanted to cripple their economy anyway by bombing their natural gas fields, so the last thing they would want is for the Strait to be opened via an arrangement that lets Iran collect lucrative tolls.
I expect Israel will let it be known that if such a deal is made, they will act alone to cripple Iran's economy. They don't care about Qatar's LNG- Israel has their own natural gas fields that more than meet its needs. |
