I must’ve seen that same situation room clip from W (the movie) with Richard Dreyfuss as Cheney doing his Iran boner speech a dozen times on Twitter in the last week. I don’t think I’ve seen a single comment section where anyone says “yeah but this is all wrong since 15 years ago because we got infinity new oil and LNG reserves from the shale boom.” Not only that but we also had a massive head start on EVs and drones at the time and spent a decade with blank canvass to perfect that form of warfare but somehow Ukraine advanced 10x as far in 10 months as we did in 10 years. Add to all of that Obama being a huge pussy with Iran, China and Russia and its like we decided to fold our straight flush because we thought it would be unfair to play such good cards (and in Obama’s case he just couldn’t rule out the royal flush as a possibility so he decided to play it safe).
It wouldn’t have been hard to sell an ITE recovery story that was renewals maxxing *and* LNG maxxing with our new oil reserves being deployed as a tool to contain our enemies and keep peace by making sure we could maximize all our soft power tools so that hard power was a true last resort. Buy off the GOP to support more stimulus by leveraging the O&G industry against them. Obama spent so much time dicking around with the ACA and Dodd-Frank and the CFPB and gave up the much better solutions to both out domestic economic crisis and our long term geopolitical risks. Then along came the orange retard to be the puppet of his Epstein handlers for the last 10 years with an interlude weekend at Bernie’s POTUS. Its so sad to be the generation that lost American hegemony and all because boomer retards managed to manipulate the dying mass media to get themselves elected and outwit their even dumber DEI-powered rivals in both parties (plus one Jewish communist who would’ve managed to make things even worse). |
