Yep, I had been meaning to discuss what this means for the absolute state of gaming with you.
Single player campaign is built within the wrapper of their warzone shit, so you can't pause and even get booted from your own game and have to restart the level if you go idle.
Campaign also requires you to have secure boot and TPM enabled with kernel level access for their shitty anti-cheat. You can't even open the game and play by yourself without it.
Loaded with shitty, AI generated assets.
I forgot where but I saw some place give this shitpile a 9/10

All of the forums are full of kids saying that they shouldn't have cried wolf complaining about the COD games from prior years because now nobody will understand how bad Black Ops 7 is
mods on the steam forums working overtime to delete any poasts mentioning the jews responsible for this

It's not the Same Game. Black Ops 6 had a fun campaign. This one doesn't even have a real campaign.
I think they know that if they don't have a real COD game ready in any given year, they can occasionally throw one out there that is just absolute complete shit and people will buy it for the COD name as long as they don't do it too often.
First time they try this is COD Vanguard (2021), which has a short/bad campaign but it's still a real campaign. Then they come back in 2022 with Modern Warfare 2 having a real campaign and bill it as a "return to form." Gamers buy into that series again with credibility established, then get completely rugpulled with Modern Warfare 3 (2023), which didn't have a real campaign but rather some "missions" built within the multiplayer framework misleadingly billed as a campaign. People are pretty pissed about this, so they come back with a real campaign in Black Ops 6 (2024) that is quite fun and billed as another "return to form." Then they trade on the good will created by Black Ops 6 to release an absolute steaming pile of shit with Black Ops 7, using the same "campaign that isn't really a campaign" model from MW3.
Basically, if you look at the release schedule, they used to take turns between the "A team" and the "B team" pushing out games in alternating years with real campaigns. I guess they can't get done in that time frame anymore with each team having 2 years to make a game, so now they are pushing out a skeleton game every other year that is really just a Madden-style annual multiplayer update. They are probably doubling up on the same franchise two years in a row so that gamers will have forgotten the "bad" game when it's time to release the next real one. E.g. now that they've done Black Ops two years in a row, everyone will have forgotten MW3 when it's time to launch MW4.
