It integrates with Windows and has Play Anywhere. Microsoft has a TrillionK so they can afford a slicker experience than Sony.
If Sony had Japanese exclusives, it would be a big deal. Even if they had Western exclusives that aren't Ubisoft-tier games.

Obviously, PC has been my most consistent platform though I've had Nintendo (original, SNES, gameboy), Sega (including the stupid CD add on), Xbox (360, One X, Series X) and Sony (PS3 and the handheld). I'm probably forgetting some shit but exclusives were always stupid and I was always missing out on some. I also had periods when I was entirely focused on PC gaming.
I don't think I've used my console for actual gaming in several years at this point. I'm all PC. Technically I guess I use console sometimes with Xbox Cloud. |

The reason Cyberpunk is better on PC is that you can brute force it with a $5000 graphics card, and the current consoles don't even have elegant architectures that are even open to being maximized, nor would the current crop of devs (who are content creators rather than engineers) be able to take advantage of complex architectures even if they existed.
This wasn't always the case though. There was a time when consoles functioned very differently from each other, and the gap between consoles and PCs was much smaller because you didn't have brute force graphics cards that cost as much as a used car. And the devs were engineers who knew how to take advantage of each system. Exclusives could often pull off things that simply couldn't be done on PCs at the time. Metal-coded exclusives were pushing performance 50-100% further than multiplatform games on the same hardware.
Now we have a situation where the industry has called a truce and colluded to give up that extra 50-100% performance margin and all just make the Same Game in unreal engine. And the hardware manufacturers are happy to fire all of their engineers and all make the Same Console. So currently, exclusives don't serve much purpose because everything is the Same regardless. But there was a time when things were Different.
