Michael Greger (🧐) obviously there's a correlation but to pretend that this can't change is absurd. 30 years ago most chinese cities looked like third world shitholes with a few being "clean" in the sense that soviet cities were clean. there's still some dirtiness in china but given the insane scale it is generally cleaner than america in many places at this point. chinese people are smarter than indians in general of course, but the point being that relative wealth and stability is a prerequisite for this sort of thing.
incidentally south africa is itself an example of how you don't actually need the entire country to be rocket scientists to have order in cities. you just need some critical mass of organized people at top. |
