Taco Bell has revealed the winner of its first-ever Global Taco Vote, with fans choosing which international menu item will arrive in the US later this year.
The week-long vote ran from March 26 through April 1, giving Taco Bell Rewards Members the chance to pick between two global fan favorites that had never been available nationwide in the US.
After a week of voting, Taco Bell confirmed that the Butter Chicken Taco from India has won the Global Taco Vote with 64.65% of the total vote. The item beat out Thailand’s Kickin’ Chicken Taco, which was also part of the final head-to-head.
The vote marked the first time Taco Bell allowed US Rewards Members to directly decide which international item would make its way onto domestic menus. The winning taco is set to launch as a limited-time menu item in the US later in 2026.

"The competing Kickin’ Chicken Taco from Thailand included crispy chicken strips, pico de gallo, a three-cheese blend, lettuce, and a Spicy Kickin’ sauce wrapped in a flour tortilla."
Can't believe people rejected this classic Thai delicacy
