Came out as a gamer at work today...huge mistake

Date: February 26th, 2026 4:19 PM Author: Obsidian theater stage We had a bunch of new hires starting so everyone went around introducing themselves and their hobbies. When it was my turn, I said my name and then said, "and I'm a gamer". What I was expecting was a few other people going "yeah I'm a gamer too!" and then we would talk about some of the games we played. But nope, instead it was complete silence. Some of women gave me a look a complete disgust and could see others sneering. After a minute of awkward silence, we finished going around the room and I thought it was finally over. Well for the rest of the day, nobody else would talk to me or even make eye contact any more. My messages and emails are now going unanswered and I was removed from some meetings.
