We left that day and never came back till months later. Then you had the weird restaurant shit (not fucking sure at all why "RESTAURANTS" are such a huge part of our life that this was a change in how we live but it was), the masks in the grocery stores, the lines near tents in the hospital parking lot to get your jibjab, and all the rest that we all know about. What will the EVENTS look like for these lockdowns? |

But I don't imagine they'll stop public transportation. So it'll really only be a lockdown for people who live in small towns without pubtrans. But also a lot of businesses will be closed. |

Yep we're pretty fucked if it goes down anything like this. And I haven't even started to think about the impacts on the power grid – I know that's mostly natural gas, which we're OK on, but we don't know how all these things will interact in the context of a global energy crisis. Will they limit the hours we can use electricity?
(TBH I've been stocking up on supplies for a potential blackout for a while now anyways.) |
