Big shakeup this week after the Bitcoin Cash situation. But I think you have to plan on a Christmas rally. New money buying in will get parked in Coinbase. And I don't think ETH or LTC yet have the brand power to compete in these holiday dinner table type situations.

We'll probably also see a rise in BCH for this same reason. My guess is pushing 23K by year end for BTC and 7,000 for BCH.

ETH and LTC will see some gains as well, but not as big. Alt coins will have a tough week until after New Year when they start soaring.

I agree with the sentiment but will take the under on those price estimates

Those prices would require an influx of something like $150B flowing into those coins alone in the next 10 days and that seems wildly optimistic to me

The 150B would not be all new money..Once they start rising, you're going to see people selling the alt coins to catch the BTC rise.

Sure, I guess I was focusing a bit on your new money statement

It does make sense that after alts have been up big that people exchange for BTC and probably ETH to a lesser extent

If the tax rules go into effect, it would probably also make some sense to flee from alts by year end if people are even aware of it and plan on following the rules

Not sure I believe that BCH/BCC will absorb Coinbase $$ more than LTC or ETH.

Coinbase basically doubled down on the mom and pop retail investor by putting BCH and not another alt-coin like XRP..It's a smart move for the whole ecosystem.

Why does the retail investor want BCH more than another alt-coin?

I still feel like a lot of people will see bitcoin a price of somewhere between $12-16k and think it is too expensive not realizing you don't have to purchase a whole bitcoin.

cr. i know many ppl not getting in the cryto game b/c they think they're priced out since they "can't afford a bitcoin." it's as if 7-11 only accepted $100 bills for a stick of gum.
