which blockchain(s) will threaten ethereum this year?

it's annoying that it's written in haskell though. while neat it significantly limits the potential number of outside contributors |

ICON, Wanchain, + Aion could collectively trump Ethereum, assuming you have apps that bridge between them. Very professional teams and foundations that will try to make moves.
Tezos might be too far behind. It offered potential last year but there are like 5+ blockchains offering even more nowadays, and their foundations aren't incompetent and have/will have way more partnerships before Tezos even launches.
Chinese blockchains seem too insulated to effectively break out into the western markets, although NEO has a first mover advantage of sorts. It doesn't seem like it would outpace Ethereum growth enough at any point in the future to overtake it, though.
EOS looks like it might have a better chance the Cardano, but it does seem more focused on pumping coin price, which could be detrimental. |
