ITT: your biggest crypto mistakes

My top five:
1. not selling BAT @ 3x & Myst @ 5x, coveting more gains throughout their moons and eventually getting out of each at break-even. 2. constantly adding to my SONM bags as it kept tanking, all the while deluding myself that Bittrex was imminent. Sold at a 70% loss. (Congrats to SONMbros though—always liked the project!) 3. getting way too greedy on bitmex. Longed the top just after BTC broke 10k, and terribly mismanaged the bet after that initial flub. Lost 7.4 btc in one trade. This one stung the worst. 4. returning to bitmex afterwards, getting greedy again and making another very marginal bet. Could have cut my losses on this one at 0.2 btc. Instead, I lost another 2.3 btc. Permanently quit bitmex after this. 5. Putting 40 eth into Cryptomus’ ICO, and using 625 gwei to get in. Not only was I the first contributor, but among the three biggest too. Just lol. |

2) Selling Status because it didn't moon hard enough after ICO. It's now up 12x from where I sold.
3) Not buying $10,000 of ETH when it dropped to $165. I had Coinbase open, and got greedy and waited for it to drop further.
Not sure I could have changed these without a crystal ball though. I generally wish I'd recognized the hyuuge opportunity for ALT coins sooner. |

i was seriously considering putting $10-20k into zcl (bitcoin private) around dec 18 when it was about $4. didnt pull the trigger. its like $200 now

Selling all 5.5 of my BTC in the spring last year (for small $3.5k profit) because I found it too stressful.. I was a no-coiner until 5 weeks ago and was <1k profit until I discovered binance 3 weeks ago...now i'm at $220K profit.

Ignoring Peterman/ETH thread early last year
Not following my formula and putting $10K into Snovio a couple weeks ago when it was sitting on EtherDelta.. Buy HAT guys |

selling cardano at 60 cents because i figured anything higher would make its market cap unsustainably high. i failed to realize this is a retarded market that doesn’t trade on anything resembling fundamentals. fuck my life.
these two mistakes have cost me well over a million dollars i think. excuse while i hang myself now |
