maybe until the 720s came out

but the single best car you can buy in today's market is 911 GT3 (or 911R if you were one of the few lucky ones). the rest are too track focused and cant be daily drivers. GT3 is PERFECT and offers the best balance between being a driver car and track car

and the 9000 RPM NA engine is UNGHHHHHHHH

GTR is an asian shitbox that has great straight line numbers and mediocre driving characteristics. NSX *was* a great car. too early to judge the new generation models

this is the best car you can buy new now

Porsche has diluted their brand with all the SUVs. Too many moms driving around in Cayennes

In terms of preftige Ferrari > Porsche

you have only a couple of years to use this talking point since everybody is moving towards SUV models. lambo, bentley, maserati already have SUVs and ferrari isnt far behind

without cayenne there would have been no porsche as we know it. read about why they did the SUV in the 90s. finally real motor enthusiasts know that SUVs haven't diminished Porsche's excellence in sports cars even one bit (Carrera GT, 911R, GT3, GT2, GT3RS, GT2RS) are all rated highly by enthusiasts/critics with Carrera GT being widely considered as the best sports car of the last decade

Now that Ferrari is public they are pumping out cars like crazy. You can walk in and buy at sticker any non-special Ferrari right now with nothing but a check and a wait for them to build it.

McClaren has atrocious depreciation as does Lambo and even the new 720s and hurrican performante are available to buy at sticker.

None of these companies are truly exclusive, now the prestige is in having a special version e.g. tdf, GT2RS etc. or one of the hypercars 918, senna, centario.

you forgot GT3RS which still sells above MSRP even used. but otherwise CR. huracan performante is seriously underrated. it has the best sounding NA engine and is a killer on track. probably the 3rd best track car right now after GT2RS and 720s

I did not. They built 6000 or so and you can buy a low miles one at MSRP right now.

The 991.2 GT3 is just as fast in PDK as the last RS and in manual is bringing down 911R values too.

Now the speedster will be the one to have.
