I still need to see that; I saw the Stephen King remake which was a train wreck but kinda fun, like a watered down proto American Horror Story

thought it was pretty meh. the narrative overlay with virgil felt heavy-handed and the frequent cuts to glenn gould and images of paintings/sculptures seemed rather amateurish—almost like they came from a high schooler’s powerpoint presentation for AP Art History. the movie was very unsettling but perhaps obscenely so. the ending was ridiculous.
I generally like LVT and think breaking the waves is a masterpiece. this wasn’t his finest work

Going to watch breaking the waves next.
Just watched The House That Jack Built tonight, it was 180 and funny.
Really loved the Dante allusions and the last 30 minutes, though it seemed most imdb queermos preferred the first part of the movie.
