From Chauvin's perspective, that last kick Floyd gave as he passed out seemed like continued resistance.

From Chauvin's perspective, he may not have heard the cop say he couldn't find a pulse.

And I think it was a huge misstep not to make clear that the State experts said Floyd would have suddenly lost consciousness or fainted if he was ODing or having a heart attack. HE WAS ALREADY PRONE so that would've been harder to tell.
