They’re laying off the sauce.
Chick-fil-A will limit the number of condiments allowed per customer amid an industry-wide supply shortage, the firm said.
The fast food joint, headquartered in Georgia, sent customers nationwide an email Monday declaring that customers will now get just one sauce per entrée, two per meal and three per order of 30-count nuggets, according to KSL.
“We are actively working to make adjustments to solve this issue quickly and apologize to our guests for any inconvenience,” the company said in a statement on its website.
The culinary clampdown comes as the US is hit by a shortage of poultry caused by pandemic safety measures and a surge in demand for recently released fried chicken sandwiches at several fast food chains, including KFC.
Chick-fil-A’s condiments include its original sauce, Barbeque, Garlic Herb Ranch, Sweet and Spicy and Zesty Buffalo, which are available in some grocery stores.
