It wouldn’t be quite right to say I was spending time with them because while I am physically present I am usually emotionally and spiritually quite distant, except for bouts of periodic rage that are typically directed toward my misbehaving children. That being said, I don’t do social events. I was over at my parents house and they invited over some other family and I just left for example. I didn’t say goodbye. I just left. I don’t talk about “hobbies” or “interests” with anyone. Not even my wife. I cannot imagine anyone talking about themselves that much. |

It's all about mimicry. This is a proven concept in negotiations.
If you know who the interviewer will be, you need to research them prior to the interview. Social media pages, online alumni magazines, their bio pages, etc. Try and glean a hobby from this and learn a bit about it. Then claim it as your hobby and feign surprise when the interviewer gets excited and says "me too!"
