Basically every new car has radar cruise control with collision avoidance. But Tesla in their infinite hubris decided to go vision only and get rid of radar and other sensors that 100% prevent it from doing this stupid shit over and over

To be fair,

Sounds fair and balanced, that's probably what happened -- Tesla is a bunch of stupid arrogant jackasses who don't think things through. LOL @ them, they didn't even go to law school.

Definitely wasn't because they have exponentially (literally exponentially) more self-driving data to parse than their closest competitor, and based on an analysis of that expansive data set conducted by white/Asian STEM guys who are objectively smarter than anyone on this board, they determined that conflicts between radar and camera kept popping up over and over again and the existence of those conflicts made the self-driving program less safe on a macro level, so on balance it was better to get rid of one (and then made a public announcement to that effect). Also, Tesla cars definitely aren't provably the statistically safest cars on the roa,d and the media/haters aren't chomping at the bit to publicize any little mishap, the reality is that they all just keep driving into trees and shit it's ridiculous.

Cr they are leagues ahead of the competition in fact Elon promised that Level 5 autonomy will be ready in the next few weeks even though the competition is 10 years away. We’re gonna have robotaxis by the end of the year bros

To be fair,

Damn, this seems like sarcasm -- I guess it's all a total scam and Tesla objectively isn't literally leagues beyond its competitors in this sphere (regardless of how close they are or aren't to deploying FSD across their full fleet).

All lies, typical, typical.... oh and btw BTC is going to literally zero any day now (literally zero, no not $1/BTC, $0/BTC you fools get out now) trust me I have a big brain buddy and you're a fucking retard, no of course I don't own any BTC or a Tesla car or any Tesla stock, and I'm not remotely jealous about that, why would you even ask?

Quite a disclaimer there Claire, leagues ahead in this “sphere” regardless of how close they are to the actual subject at hand, 180 sleight of hand, are you a lawyer or something?

Don’t worry bros, full fsd will be here by the end of the year, hitting trees at 2 mph today to driving 85 on the freeway by thanksgiving, btw better lock in that price now or it’ll be $15k when it’s here… can’t miss deal.

To be fair,

The "sphere" of FSD is total bullshit, we'll never have it.

Just like the "sphere" of crypto is total bullshit, we'll never see BTC at $1,000,000.

Anyone telling you otherwise is just a scammer. Again, I own neither, both because I'm not a fool and also because I don't support fraud with my money. Sad to see some smooth brain fools buying into both of these scams instead of loading up on physical silver now while they still can (it's going to $1,000/oz any day now, trust me I've run the numbers it's inevitable and no that's TOTALLY different from Tesla and Bitcoin for reasons that are so obvious I won't even bother to spell them out here btw the Jews control everything and we will never beat them in any sphere except physical silver, where we will totally BTFO them it's just a matter of time so get in on that singular unicorn while you still can).

To be fair,

1. I am an old faggot. What's your point?

2. Weird how anyone who pushes back on the "Tesla is a fraud, crypto is going to zero" narratives is just a crazy guy taking shit way too seriously on the internet, but the people who push those narratives obsessively around here in the first place -- even though they will proudly tell you they have absolutely no skin in either game (and nor would they choose to have skin in those games if they had a time machine and could go back five years, because they are proud American lawyers who would never personally participate in forms of fraud that are harmful to society, just to be CLEAR) -- aren't personally invested in shitting on that stuff or anything, no, they're just basically like SCIENTIST EXPERTS or something who like to spend their evenings and weekends obsessively calling out these FRAUDS not due to personal bitterness about having failed to make tons of money from them, or anything like that, but rather because they have a deep and abiding love for cold hard FACTS and TRUTH unlike the idiots and assholes who have made tons of money from them.

I think it was a business decision so they can reduce the cost of the car and sell the service to owners of the cars without the hardware

Everyone else is doing lidar and other sensors plus vision. Waymo is arguably ahead of them too. Tesla can’t ever use lidar because they would lock millions of cars out of using the feature

To be fair,

"Waymo is arguably ahead of them too."

LMAO oh dis veddy veddy bad! You seem like a very smart guy who definitely "understands" the FSD technology that you're authoritatively opining on ITT.

State your IQ and briefly explain how and under what conditions Waymo's "full self driving" technology actually works (meaning, what Waymo has to accomplish as a fundamental prerequisite within every single geographic area in which they want their cars to operate in FSD mode) before I engage you further.

To be fair,

Waymo has this in the bag and Tesla is dun here as long as:

1. Waymo has the time and money to deploy a ton of very expensive equipment to carefully map out literally every single inch of every single road that exists in America anywhere that Waymo's FSD vehicles might travel (this is a non-negotiable prerequisite to using their FSD capabilities on any road); and

2. None of those roads ever changes again after that mapping is complete (or, if they do change, Waymo is allowed to go back in and immediately remap them before any of its FSD vehicles are allowed to drive on the altered road); and

3. People don't mind paying six figures for the privilege of owning one of these incredible Waymo vehicles (which incidentally look ridiculous as shit, have zero sex appeal, and sport a big hideous camera bump sticking right off the top of the car).

...what I'm saying is, I think Tesla is in trouble!

Waymo is plainly ahead because they went overboard on sensory packages, just like cruise did.

Tesla is far more advanced and closer to a vision-only level 4, but Waymo and Cruise at least have a stack that works autonomously despite a $150k BOM cost per vehicle.
