You would think that if handling violent rioters were so bad (and I'm sure that it sucks), you would hear about some suicides among cops from the nationwide violent riots that police had to respond to all summer, literally every day all summer. I can't think of any. Did any of the federal police dudes defending the Portland Courthouse do this? I don't think so, and those riots were really violent and risky for the officers - much moreso than the capital riots.

I know to be charged with a person committing suicide you have to essentially encourage them to do it.

We have four suicides all connected to the Insurrection. If we have on tape the people who actually attacked these officers can they be charged with a crime.

The only thing I can think of is manslaughter arguing that suicide was a reasonable expectation the attackers should have foreseen. I don’t think it would work since too much time has gone by.

I guess the only hope is at least the families will get the benefits of their deaths being called as a result of service.

I am not a lawyer and as much as I want to see the trackers charged I can’t think of how.
