California Adventure was peak Eisner pointless moneypit disaster. The California parks in general are dirty and poorly managed imo

Hold on I'll find something for you

Look at this launch day piece of garbage and compare it to the classic "Mr. Toad's Wild Ride" (retired)

Lmao, I remember that. It's improved a LOT over time, though. I remember it being quite nice in 2015. And the key thing is that it's ONLY the best for my guy GG. I would never try to cut corners when it comes to showing him my appreciation.

Your earnest and humble devotion to the truth above all, come what may + your highly self-deprecating personality = a truly gorgeous and inspiring combination which warms my golden retriever heart.

:-)

We're going to make it home to Heaven, my friend! It might be a bumpy ride, but to paraphrase Saint Thomas More, we don't all go to Heaven on feather beds.

But what would a cosmic bootcamp be without a little turbulence: separating the wheat from the chaff, God's beautiful and crazy design: the master sculptor at work, to paraphrase C.S. Lewis.

Also, your name makes me think of Planet of the Apes (the 1968 original with Charlton Heston, of course: gorgeous guy) for some reason, though I'm not exactly sure why - 180, in any case.

Sylvester Stallone really can't act (but it's a fun 80s action flick regardless. pretty gory too)

If you want a good one I watched Bergman's "Wild Strawberries" the other night when the woman was asleep and felt like shit all throughout the next day

Talk about great minds thinking alike, wow. Sly is hilarious despite (or perhaps because of?) his lack of acting ability.

And I LOVE Wild Strawberries, despite not being into much of Bergman's stuff. It's amazing how a work of art can be so uplifting and so sad at the same time: very much like this life in many ways:

We are in a vale of tears, yet surrounded with technicolor windows into Heaven, usually hiding in plain sight.

So we know Heaven, our true home, is out there: the Artist's fingerprints are everywhere, Easter eggs and bread crumbs leading us out of the enchanted forest of this fallen world.

Someday, all tears will be wiped away, and our broken nature will be healed and transformed, but that time, and that place, can sometimes seem so far away...
