First of all, the Hellcat is a relatively rare car--Dodge sells maybe a few thousand of them per year. Also, an S7 would be neck and neck with a Hellcat from launch to about 60. Turdly, there's nothing "effete" about a 3 liter biturbo V6 making 450 hp it's an incredible engine. Quartermass, the Hellcat would fall behind the S7 in any setting with a minor curve in the road.

"First of all, the Hellcat is a relatively rare car--Dodge sells maybe a few thousand of them per year. Also, an S7 would be neck and neck with a Hellcat from launch to about 60"

That's just wrong. You're comparing a 4ish second car to a sub 3 second 0-60 car. It wouldn't even be close. They're not in the same category or league.

"Turdly, there's nothing "effete" about a 3 liter biturbo V6 making 450 hp it's an incredible engine"

And you're comparing to a 700+ hp car with a supercharged V8. That is a real engine. Also, turdly is you.

Are you high? Most Hellcats on the road are doing 0-60 in 3.5-4.0s depending on the configuration. It's not a sub-3s car you fucking homer. And that time is IF the Dodge driver doesn't fuck up the launch which plenty of owners consistently do since it's hard to put that power to the ground vs. the S7 which will pull about a 4s to 60 every single time because of the AWD.

Needed minivan. Had a hard time finding one. Bought a used one from a dealer with issues I wouldn't normally have settled for, at a price I wouldn't normally have paid, but there's no inventory out there so I just had to take it. This one had sat on the lot for 2 months, so I was at least able to negotiate about $1000 off asking price.

Mosrly little cosmetic stuff. Cut in the leather on one seat, faded stain on another. Car was detailed nybthe dealer, but poorly. Decided none of this really mattered because it's a minivan and the kids would trash it anyway (and they did, almost immediately).

But it also had been in a "minor" accident per Carfax, which normally would have been a deal breaker for me. If I look closely, I can tell where the fender doesn't line up exactly right with the headlight.

Had about 10k more miles on it than I prefer for a used car

Unlike poster above me, my trade wasn't getting me anything, so I kept it as a backup. I did, however, sell a different car privately beforehand, which is what the minivan was intended to replace.

the problem with inflation is that its concentrated in the luxury goods sector. so lux goods literally cost 2x as much now vs. 5 years ago. this is because the people that buy lux goods now have 2x as much money. there's no way to free yourselves or your children from this cycle. need 30-50M..

Bought a new yukon xl denali earlier this year. I believe it was literally the only one of these in my 1-3 million-resident city at the time, and I had to buy it sight unseen and wait for it to come in (I test drove a lower trim on the non-xl yukon, a suburban, and a used denali, and just had to imagine the amalgamation).

Honestly don't regret it though; that thing is sweet.

It is utterly enormous. Everyone focuses on the comical, tractor-trailer-like length, but the width is what really gets you day-to-day; it's got a lane assist that buzzes the corresponding side of your seat if you drift too close to a line, and also turns one of the street lines on the HUD red.

Be forewarned that I went from a teenager-like head of hair to a norwood iv in a matter of days driving this thing, so start a *high-dose* finasteride regimen at least a month prior to signing. OTOH, I rocketed up 55 lbs. from my previous bench plateau.

hahaha. I believe it; the width would be hard for me in parking garages. It's cool that it has tech to help you keep it straight. I think people say similar things about pickups, like especially the raptor.

Just looked it up--Denali XL 81" wide and Raptor 79.9" wide. A little confusing to say whether it's apples-to-apples (as some measurements may include mirrors) but that's nuts.

Last car was a cybertruck triple pre-order. Just found out it is getting delayed again.

Bough a new Audi S5. Negotiated to ~3% off MSRP but most of that was just forcing the dealer to honor the Costco rebate program which I'm sure they hate right now. Inventory is laughably low for everything but Q3s, Q5s, and Q7s. Cars are being bought from under people's noses e.g., a car that appears in inventory in the morning is gone for MSRP by the time you get to the dealer in the afternoon. Audi is beginning to take away features for the 2022 models because of the chip shortage i.e., by default they're pulling things like direct tire pressure monitoring, wireless phone charger box, a second vehicle key and forcing you to specifically request them if you want them re-included. Factory order times are laughable with some people who placed orders in the spring still without vehicles.

What's funny is in Q4 2020 / Q1 2021 before the chip shortage really took hold dealers were practically blowing you to get you to sign papers for a car. Now, it's the reverse. There's 0 loyalty amongst 99% of these fags they don't care how long you've been a customer or how much money you've spent with them or the potential for a "relationship" they are just short-term naked economic actors who see the supply shrinking and so they're going to get theirs. Not sure whether to admire that or detest it.

paid msrp minus $500 factory cash in june. they also waived the shipping cost from new mexico, but added in a mandatory $599 tint & nitrogen package (so basically a wash). had to wait 6 weeks for vehicle to arrive. it was slim pickings then and it's probably much worse now.
