My associate that started in June has already done a binding arbitration and a jury trial. She has also defended and taken several depos.
Just do go somewhere cheaper than NYC, clerk for a shit firm, and then open your own place. You'll be happier and make a lot more money as long as you have even moderate social skills. |

Grinding years 25-28 is honestly not that much.
Waltzing out of law school into more than $205k straight away is not a realistic expectation outside of BigLaw. And I say that as someone who hates BigLaw as much as anybody alive. |
