Those with prior infection during that period were eliminated from the subgroup where the efficacy percentage was determined (table 3).
Page 7 of the second link even shows the tests they used. Page 11 of the second link shows when they ran the tests (7 days after dose 2): "Time period for COVID-19 case accrual is from 7 days after Dose 2 to the end of the surveillance period."
The first link is the Table 3 with the key data on efficacy.
