Silverstein Properties claimed the max insurance coverage was $7 billion rather than $3.5 billion because of two airplanes = two occurrences. At the time the claim was first made it was considered nuts, but WLRK was able to persuade the jury in 2004 and get the insurers to agree to settle on $4.5 billion in 2007.
