cardio or lifting
lifting is when I can read my phone or magazines.
cardio lately has been swimming or versaclimber at home, the latter of which I watch tv while doing.
I also rock climb twice a week, but I devote my full attention to that when I am doing it

weird, its usually the best part of my day. maybe that only speaks to the misery of my working hours.
there are no pretenses, no games, no bullshit. Its an exchange that is entirely upfront and honest. I push my body past comfort and I receive a healthier, better body. The small accomplishments are measurable, and again there is no lying about progress or lack thereof.
it is the one exchange in the entire vitality department that is untouched by fraud.

it's quite literally one of my favorite things to do.
i would say try to find a linear progression program that you will stick to--tbh, everything is just some version of starting strength so just do that. once you can go into your book and see the gains day over day you will like it since you will see yourself getting stronger.
or, try to find an activity. jiujitsu or martial arts. triathlon club. swimming. hiking. crossfit. whatever.

always hated lifting bc of a sports injury, but it mysteriously went away after over a decade of pain and annoyance and now i fucking love it
