normally your net worth is tied and calibrated to your income because it's your main source of wealth generation. so whatever you happen to be making at your current stage of life, you're probably relatively happy with and motivated to keep growing it, because you don't know anything better as far as personal wealth goes.

i made enough in crypto that my relatively mundane salary now looks disappointing and almost not worth the effort but i didn't make enough that i can stop working. feels very screwy.

that's what i'm trying to do now but even then i look at the potential income generated from what i have in mind, and it's not bad at all, but taking into account the required effort, the tax that comes out of it, i look at it and it feels kind of lame and gay
