A&M leaving was the end of 80 years of tradition and it allowed A&M to recruit Texas players to the SEC but they could still live near their families. It didn't just help A&M's recruiting but instead made Texas open for recruiting for everyone. It used to be that Texas' top recruits all went to Texas schools, with a few exceptions every year.
But still the funniest part was that UT was then responsible for programming the Longhorn network and basically had Mack Brown yelling at a notepad for six hours every day. |
