i could never bear the responsibility of doing that to someone. even if their lives turned out exactly the same as mine, and no worse, it's a really shitty thing for someone to have brought me into existence. and of course there's no guarantee at all that their lives won't be worse than mine. and my life (and life in general) is just getting shitter as i get older and closer to death.

they say no parent should have to bury their child - well i say that's selfish. that's saying no parent should have to see the end result of their decision to bring a person into this world. that's saying parents should only get to enjoy the fun highlights of seeing the youthful child, but not the morbidity and decay of that child's latter years.
