That's a 1/3333, or .03% rate. Yes, I'm glad vaccines are more effective, and they had better be.
I'm not against the vaccine, I'm against mandatory vaccinations of a new experimental drug that was rolled out in a year and in which much of the clinical data has not been peer reviewed by parties not named Pfizer or Moderna.
Given the lack of any longitudinal study of the potential side effects of such a vaccine and a .03% rate of hospitalizations, it's irresponsible and unethical to legally force the drug on the entire population. Keeping in mind that the .03% rate is an average and includes unhealthy and elderly segments of the population, it makes even less sense to force young and healthy people to take the experimental drug.
Oh, and let's not forget that if it turns out that Pfizer manipulated their clinical data (https://www.bmj.com/content/375/bmj.n2635), which they've been caught doing in the past (see Vioxx), that they've been granted immunity by the government. |

Taking the numbers at the link at face value, we're talking about 30 hospitalizations per 100,000 for unvaccinated individuals. That's a 1/3333, or .03% rate.
I'm not against the vaccine, I'm against mandatory vaccinations of a new experimental drug that was rolled out in a year and in which much of the clinical data has not been peer reviewed by parties not named Pfizer or Moderna.
Given the lack of any longitudinal study of the potential side effects of such a vaccine and a .03% rate of hospitalizations, it's irresponsible and unethical to legally force the drug on the entire population. Keeping in mind that the .03% rate is an average and includes unhealthy and elderly segments of the population, it makes even less sense to force young and healthy people to take the experimental drug.
Oh, and let's not forget that if it turns out that Pfizer manipulated their clinical data (https://www.bmj.com/content/375/bmj.n2635), which they've been caught doing in the past (see Vioxx), that they've been granted immunity by the government. |
