Last night Buffalo presumably would have scored a TD then gone for 2.
And in a game like last night the team that gets the ball first would have an interesting decision to make when they score their TD. If you are KC do you go for 2 knowing that Buffalo will probably score a TD and go for 2 if you kick the XP? |

I like the idea that the team that gets the ball first can end it, but it should be that they have to go for 2 to end it without the other team having a chance on offense and if they go for one next possession is still sudden death. My point is that giving the coin toss winner the same capability to win by going for 2 still rewards an unstoppable offense but puts way more downside on the risk of going for the kill.
