i still dont get how the earth can move in space at 30km per second and its fine

i googled "how fast does the earth move around the sun in km per second" and the answer was "As schoolchildren, we learn that the earth is moving about our sun in a very nearly circular orbit. It covers this route at a speed of nearly 30 kilometers per second, or 67,000 miles per hour."
i guess if it's just empty, absolute vacuum better than any can be created artificially on earth it is moving through, then you cannot feel this speed. but on its own, that is 30 freaking km per second! that is absolutely bonkers. and it's accelerating at that speed, since it constantly changes direction. i thought acceleration was felt by those experiencing it, whereas uniform velocity in a straight line wasn't. how come we don't feel it, aside from the fact we are moving through absolutely nothing in our way?
and there is one more thing. this 30 km/sec is in relation to the sun, whereas every speed on earth is in relation to something moving on the earth or to the earth itself. so this speed is unlike our normal speeds, because it's not in relation to anything on the earth but in relation to the sun.
just some meth thoughts for today...

by the way, where do you think the universe is? does it just without bound go on forever, infinitely in all directions? every space has a container to it, or a surface that bounds it. it's impossible to think of space without a boundary surface. the model for space is a three-dimensional cube, but the cube is not infinite, it is bounded by plane surfaces. i just cannot imagine an infinite universe. maybe the universe is nowhere, that would do the trick logically. since it is nowhere, it can go on forever. it doesn't really exist, except in the mind. there is no universe, there is only consciousness perceiving a universe. the consciousness is real, the universe isn't. the consciousness exists nowhere, it doesnt need a place, and it projects a reality into the mind. there is no reality, there is only the mind projecting a reality, in utter nothingness.

well, i do believe in a personal god emotionally, but intellectually it just does not add up at all. and then i have the stupid dmt experience where its too obvious that there is in fact a supreme spirit, the god of all things. the highest being there is, uncreated.
but then again, this dmt shit could be some alien dimension trick to extract feelings of god from me, a human, by some interdimensional beings into whose reality i got dropped by smoking dmt. cant trust what i felt completely, you know. the rest of the experience was very bizarre, the god experience was like walking through the park on a nice day compared to the rest of the shit i experienced.

like in this thread, there is a post where i talk about how the mere tilt of the earth creates seasons. something so personal and emotional is a mere artifact of chance configuration in space. thats the kind of stuff im referring to. i dont personally believe in evolution by natural selection and adaptation, i believe evolution, if you can call it that, happens somehow otherwise. its a lot more mysterious than biochemistry and molecular biology let on, although i must confess i do believe that scientists arent lying when they say there is nothing to differentiate living matter from inorganic matter except the types of molecules, there is no mysterious life-force to be found to seperate life from inanimate objects like rocks. we are all just stuff.
and facts about astrophysics and astronomy are the big deal breaker. for example, why does the earth move? why is it one of several planets? plus, knowing that the moon is just another satellite, like other moons orbiting planets, makes it not very special. these kinds of facts make everything into a chance occurrence, where there is no place for an eternal soul or an all knowing, all-powerful personal god.

It was "documented" by one anonymous writer 40 years later. Kind of strange given all the educated scholars and historians of the time who surely would have noticed that there was a wizard performing magic for crowds of thousands.
The "they wouldn't die for a lie" argument is also horseshit, given that (1) delusional cultists have died for false beliefs at many times throughout history, (2) there is no good evidence that any "eyewitnesses" were killed for their beliefs, and (3) we have no way of knowing for a fact that recanting would saved them.

supposedly its expanding on the order of galaxies, so its not like you would feel it. its the galaxies that are getting away from each other, not the stars inside of them. or so i understand things, im not sure wtf they are talking about at all. its expanding into what, how expanding? as far as im concerned, its just a mathematical trick until someone explains it to me, because most of modern physics, 20th century onward, is math tricks. the train left the building where physics was tied to the imagination and actual physical models at the end of the 19th century, id say with the Erlangen program commenced by Felix Kline, where he turned geometry into a relations game, which got outdone in 1899 by david hilbert, completely obliterating the imagination in relation to physical science.

this is the level at which i inderstand science. i remember when i had courses like science 8, science 9, science 10. those i understood. then i took physics 11, chemistry 11. i barely understood those. i guess i did, but barely. then i took physics 12, chemistry 12, and forget it, i understood next to nothing. thats high school. i also took general biology for arts majors in college, and i did understand that material. anything beyond and including senior physics and senior chemistry, forget it! i believe its called "college physics" and the one before that i barely understood was called "high school physics", after that its AP Mechanics and AP Electricity and Magnetism, courses one can take in high school, which use calculus. AP Chemistry exists, as well. higher level than what i took.

"All objects in the universe are constantly falling. You fall to the earth every time you jump. You and the earth are constantly falling around the sun. You, the earth, and the sun are constantly falling around the center of the galaxy. Why don't we feel all this falling motion? We do experience all this falling, we just don't notice it. The sun is so far away compared to humans, that our falling motion around the sun is very close to a constant speed in a straight line. Interestingly, you can't feel a constant speed in a straight line. Similarly, the galactic center is so far away that our falling motion around the galactic center is very close to a constant speed in a straight line. Our actual trajectory around the galactic center is curved, but the curve is so huge that it is essentially straight on human scales."
thanks for that. good answer.
