I forgot about him but later on during the dinner I saw him stand up. And I was shocked, this guy must have been 6'9"-6'10". He actually stood up so quickly that he hit his head on the chandelier above him which just completely broke from the ceiling and landed on his table, completely demolishing their dinners (he was eating a steak) and shattering their bottle of red wine.

Two of the servers rushed over immediately (both hot chicks) to make sure he was OK (but ignoring his date). The manager showed up a few minutes later. He apologized profusely and offered to "make it right" for them. Turns out that meant giving them a FREE meal, and a fresh table. The restaurant was PACKED, so the manager looked around to find a new table for them. His eyes settled on mine and looked at us. All of a sudden he just came over and said "Sir, I hate to do this, but may we have your table? I apologize, but you saw what happened, and these guests need a new table and it looks like you are almost done with your meal."

I glanced at my girlfriend of 1.5 years...she looked a little unsure and nervous so to put her at ease I apologized to the manager and said of course we would leave. We were almost done with our meals anyway (well just the first course but honestly I probably need to lose weight anyway).

We got up and the tall man and his girlfriend immediately came over and took our seats. Before sitting down the tall man put his hand on my shoulder and thanked me, "Really appreciate it bud." My girlfriend appeared to be in shock the whole time, just staring upward. Anyway once I got her attention we finally left the restaurant. While waiting for our uber the tall man came back out and apologized to my girlfriend and me for what happened and offered to repay us later. We exchanged contact info (well my GF gave him her number I think) and he promised he would take care of us.

Just then the uber driver drives up. He gets out of the car to open the doors for us, he first opens it for my girlfriend and then goes to the tall guy and asks him if he wants to sit in the front. Tall guy laughs and says, "Sorry, not me, she's with the little guy" and gives me a friendly punch on the shoulder. Uber driver laughs and says OK, points me to the back seat, "He can sit in the back, he's short." I laugh and hop in (funny because I'm not even short, I'm 5'10" in shoes). I was waiting for my GF to get in the uber and all of a sudden the Uber driver takes off. I tried to get him to stop and turn around to go back to my GF...I call her and she didn't answer right away. She called me back a few minutes later and said she would just get an uber in a few and meet me at home (we live in an apartment together).

I get home and cook a frozen pizza since I was still hungry for some reason. Then I passed out watching netflix. When I woke up it was 6 am and my GF still wasn't home. I didn't have any texts from her at the time. But funny story I found out later it turns out that the restaurant offered to comp her meal too since they felt bad about kicking her out. So she stayed and had dinner with the tall guy and his girlfriend and I guess they hit it off because they went out afterward. She said she didn't want to wake me up so she just crashed on their couch after. Honestly just a crazy night, I've never seen anything like that a restaurant before. My girlfriend said it was the best dinner she's ever had.
