I just got Deathloop last week and I'm enjoying it. I think the Danish studio that does Hitman and the French doods who run Arkane Lyon are the only studios doing anything interesting with video games, and both have a philosophy of never deviating from certain core concepts that I like. It's not one of these series like Silent Hunter, where each iteration was radically different than the previous one and might omit a lot of the stuff that made the old versions enjoyable. The Ultima series went this way and of course Civilization has sucked dick in some fashion since Civ 2.
