What's the big deal about banning abortions after 14-16 wks? Just propaganda?

seems like it's just propaganda to scare ppl when the southern states are passing perfectly reasonable regulations |

yes, i agree there could be other abnormalities that develop during the pregnancy. but the genetic/chromosomal testing is all done at 12 weeks and is very conclusive and not done again. |

Also chromosomal screens are not risk-free and aren't generally done without a particular reason.

All that aside, there are plenty of catastrophic nonchromosomal disorders that are revealed only at the 20 week anatomy scan. |
