Almost all law professors will just say they’re wrong and talk up courtpacking

They won't teach it, and they'll collude with commie bar orgs and the NCBE to exclude it from exams and CLE requirements.

Why wouldn't conlaw profs want to take the opportunity to vent their outrage?

Because they don't want to open the floor for discussion + they want to pretend it never happened. Like an unpersoning, but for precedent.

They will of course express their outrage on Twitter and at protests.

At my Law Center there were 3 con law sections. One covered federalism, separation of powers, the actual workings of the constitution. One spent half the semester taking about substantive and procedural due process. The third spent 90% of the class on the 14th amendment. Very different experiences.

I can tell you from experience that 35% of the final for #2 was "procedural due process. Discuss." And another 35% was "substantive due process. Discuss."

I think #3 just required a recitation of the Communist manifesto for the final.
