Once the AG sobered up they pulled the data, but the leak already happened and all the info is now floating around reddit and shit.
Seems like this is a big CCPA class action.

This seems beyond intentional. Like flat out evil. I'm curious if there is any database where I can immediately access this level of private information for violent felons or child molesters living in California. I'm guessing not.
Also should go without saying that CCW permits in CA go through one of the most rigorous and extensive background checks in the country and that none should have any criminal record. Doesn't seem fair to abruptly punish them without any prior notice by putting all of their private information out there for identity thieves and antifa nuts. |

the only thing not cookie cutter about this is you're going to have to try and get the court to apply a law meant for private businesses against the agency. even if it doesn't, there might be other statutes you could hang around their neck. the first question of law would make this a highly visible lawsuit. |
