When people tried to setup production of chromed AKs in the US they quickly found that it costs like 400% more to manufacture an AK than an M4 or M16. The stampings are garishly more expensive. The M777 howitzer is classic example of a “quality” US platform. They melt after 1/3 the shells cycled through a Soviet MSTA. They brake after one month of use. The Ukrops hate the things. The M777 has been in service for 20+ years, and a number of countries have tried them out and ordered more - see below with Canada. If just firing the weapon wore it out then other nations would have picked up on that by now and stopped ordering them.
Canada
In December 2005, 1st Regiment, Royal Canadian Horse Artillery, conducted an inaugural firing of its first 155 mm M777 towed howitzers, for a total of six guns.
They proved so successful that an order for an additional six guns was placed with BAE. In May 2009, the Canadian government ordered a further 25 M777s, bringing the total to 37.[42][43][44] |

This is a sign that Turkey sees Russia as having a weak position; they were previously holding out on giving Ukraine any additional drones and and aid in general. |
