Then they got to this one woke chick lawyer (27 years old tops). She asked, “can’t we just end whiteness?” And paused. Everyone chuckled and processed what she said and the audience started clapping and eventually turned into a 15 second standing ovation. Then when everyone got quiet she said “and let me be clear. I don’t mean end white people. I mean end the whiteness and racism that led to this Supreme Court ruling—one that will lead to millions of dead black and brown women. Especially black Trans women.”

Of course another standing ovation. Our profession is so fucked.
