I feel like their ad revenue would drop off if they predicted a decline.

Everything is. You don't see it in recent sales data just yet, but tons of houses went on the market pretty fairly valued three weeks ago, and have cut >10% with still no buyers. SD, Florida, Austin, Denver, NY all getting fuucked

My house only had one bidder. Realtor said there would have been 10 a month ago. This is one of the "hot" markets.

Take it. There are a small handful of idiots who haven't gotten the message yet. If you were lucky enough to attract one, do it. Also, you area is cool, it hasnt had the 30, 40, 50% increases that the markets absorbing bay area flight have been seeing

I took it, for $200K over our list (seems like my realtor may not have been 100% forthcoming about the number of bids in his convos with the buyer's agent)

There's a 9-18 month leadup in housing. We won't know the extent of the decrease until we know how bad the recession will be. If inflation starts going down and the fed stops raising rates relatively soon it might not even that bad.

Cars, almost as necessary as housing in Amerikkka, have not really gone down in price recently: pricehttps://publish.manheim.com/content/dam/consulting/ManheimUsedVehicleValueIndex-LineGraph.png

The US hasn't not been in a recession for a long time if you use real CPI to discount growth

With inflation at 8%, you should put all your money toward buying a house (even if your mortgage payment is a 'stretch' at the moment, pls trust that you can refinance to 3% a year from now when things 'normalize')
