They were caught flat footed for the first 48 hours and had to admit Presidential Records Act was the basis for the raid. The reasoning was that whatever Trump had belonged to the government. This is actually irrespective of whether the material is classified. We're going in to search for that material because "it's ours."
Then they tested "nuclear materials" for a news cycle. They couldn't say nuclear secrets, just "materials."
Now they came up with a weird little sleight of hand where they claim "DOJ is investigating" Trump for Espionage Act. For starters it's pretty clear that by DOJ they mean FBI, since main justice would never soil itself with this shitshow. Second of all they will only use the present tense to describe this investigation. They won't say that the investigation was ongoing before Trump revealed the secret raid. It's clear FBI just initiated an Espionage Act investigation within the last 48 hours so that they could claim Trump "is" being investigated for that.
No other government agency would talk this retarded about matters of criminal law and criminal procedure. This is all FBI.

Trump raid would have required approval at the highest levels of the organization too. How do you bring a prosecution without Wray testifying and how does Wray survive cross after this Michigan fuckup?
