Literally anything that is hard really only has about 3-5 seconds of willpower needed to succeed at it. If you are poor, out of shape, etc, it's because you literally can't force yourself for 30 seconds a day to do something.
For example, working out isn't 4 hours a week of "tough" work. It's literally just the few seconds it takes you when you wake up to force yourself out of bed and then the few seconds you need to get in the car after you are dressed. Once you actually get to the gym it is easy.
Similarly, eating better just requires the split second decision not to shove slop into your fat gullet. Once you do that and the food is out of sight, you mentally move onto the next thing.
Life is incredibly easy. Being successful, being in shape, succeeding at hobbies/skills, and having good relationships is not hard at all. And in fact, it really only takes a few minutes a week of discomfort to blow through some small barriers (and those disappear once you build momentum).
You can do it, brothers.

Always takes more force to get a boulder rolling than to keep it rolling brother.
In physics, static > kinetic friction.

ty was hoping for some guidance from the shitlaw guru
EDIT: from article
The three attorneys allegedly gave the defendants a total of $64,570 in loans or cash advances while the case was litigated, and two of them referred Anthony Robinson, Harris and Schaffer to doctors for neck or back surgery.
🤣🤣🤣

What’s an example or two of pivotal, daily (or otherwise frequently recurring) decisions like these that relate to career success/making bank?
I appreciate the fitness and diet tips but have those areas covered. But seriously need to either escape or master the wagecuck grind and am currently failing there.

CSLG - If I am getting in too late on Friday night maybe we can just meet up for a WEST COAST BRUNCH on Sat morning?
No idea about what to do with my time. I was thinking about renting car and going to Santa Barbara.
Kind of scared.
Wife thinks I'm going to see another woman.

Wife: are you going to see another woman?
Me: No. Does that mean you're feeling lonely? Ignored?
Wife: No. I'm going to bed.
Me: *turns off lights, picks up laptop, moves out of bedroom to kitchen to half do dishes and half poast on xo*

Goals for this trip:
1. Absolutely NO GIRLS
2. Absolutely NO DRINK
3. Maybe see Santa Barbara
4. Physical exertion
5. Spiritual exertion and enlightenment

Kind of changed your story here. Started with "If you are poor, out of shape, etc, it's because you literally can't force yourself for 30 seconds a day to do something," but now you seem to be recognizing that some people aren't capable of doing what it takes. You can decide to go chat/network, if you're not good at it then either nothing happens or it actively hurts you.
You're good at what you do, but you lack empathy and I've seen this in other threads of yours. Mozart was able to reconstruct music from hearing it once. That's great for him, but it hardly helps if the advice he gives others is "Well, you listen to the music, and you write it down based on what it sounded like." The whole point is he could do something that others couldn't, same deal with building the shitlaw empire.

The difference of opinion between you and CSLG here seems to be around whether “creepy” / socially inept is an ingrained, insurmountable trait or something that can be overcome by resolve, consistent better decisions, whatever .
Not sure who I agree with tbh

Mozart wasn't born with the ability to reconstruct music after seconds of hearing something. He trained for it from nearly his infancy. He was like the music version of Tiger Woods. His dad chained him to the harpsichord and made him practice every minute of the day.
It's not like Tiger picked up a golf club at 40 and just had a magical aptitude for it. If you played piano 18 hours a day for several decades you'd probably have the ability to reconstruct music too.
Ljl at you asking for empathy from people who worked hard to achieve something.

complete flame.
anybody can make the correct decision in the moment. follow through is what counts. that is why diligence and delayed gratification are such strong indicators of success in children. any 80 iq idiot can make the right decision.
edit: that is what above poster meant by execution.

That's a great system. I happen to have an even better one: I don't care about being a "success" or any flame like that, a decision which took 0.00 seconds. I'm okay with whatever happens, as we ultimately can't really control outcomes, but we can control our attitudes about them.
You could decide to go work out in your 2s but then get paralyzed for no real reason. I'd be fine with my system, but your system would fail. That's why my system is better & more efficient and effective.

This is silly, brother. But I'll bite on your flame.
I've been a lawyer for about a third of my life. Why wouldn't I hang out with people related to that? Most of the "work related" people I hang out with don't work for me. For example, my normal hookah crew is my dentist friend, my pain doc friend, a couple chiros I know, and a couple lawyer friends (who I send zero work to). I like hanging out with successful and motivated people. I also have a ton of lawyers friends who I've never sent work to I hang out with all the time. I haven't referred my buddy Gabe work since 2017 but we just had dinner and we are going to Halloween Horror nights in September.
I have a lot of friends unrelated to work too, but it's not relevant to my posting schtick. My best friend I've known since 1995 is from laser tag. He moved to Vegas a few years back but we hang out probably 4-5x year (when he is in LA or I'm in Vegas). He was the best man in my wedding. I just saw him last month and we are hanging out for a few days during the CAALA convention. I'm going on a cruise over Thanksgiving with my family, but two of my friends from before law school are coming with us too. I've never paid for them for anything. I actually just went to Disneyland yesterday with one of my laser tag friends and her family (we all go together a few times a year). I own an apartment building with my old work out partner I've known since 2003. He makes a ton of money as a real estate investor and has never made any money off of me. I could go on and on, brother.
I'm just a hyper social guy. I like to hang out with people. That includes taking my staff out. I enjoy it and it's fun. But my social life isn't limited to it, brother. Still, most of my time nowadays is socializing with my kids, wife, and immediate family.
