He works in a SCIF where no phones are allowed, so he always goes to the parking lot and fucks around on his phone, texts buddies, reads the news. He had a boss who tried to tell him he wasn't doing enough work but couldn't do shit because no one had any complaints about anything he did. They were like "yeah he gets shit done and does it right." He drinks beer at lunch too and jokes with the black security guards with beer on his breath when he comes back. 1. Strictly as a legal matter, Reagan's drug-free workplace executive order is still in effect. Many agencies have a rule implementing the EO that says "initiate removal proceedings if an employee tests positive." In practice, these "removal proceedings" will usually give you an opportunity to go to a rehab program (talk to the EAP counselor and find one that works for you so you can say "I went through the EAP"), but you will still be under removal proceedings while all this is ongoing so you will want to have a lawyer repping you through all this and you should plan on paying a $5-10k retainer for a white male, who are the only lawyers anyone will listen to.
2. If you're buying anything off the street it means you're interacting with actual criminals when you're [presumably] off-duty. Why would the government trust its secrets to a guy who hangs out with loser drug dealers? If you don't have a good answer to that question, don't give them a good reason to ask it. |
