XMR has one of the most hardcore crypto communities out there. im sure a decent # of cryptography researchers are secret monero fans. they just don't talk about it.
that said, i think censorship resistance is overrated. USDC on ETH, for example, is widely used and there's no way circle has any clue who owns what. for 99% of use cases, stablecoin on a generic l1 is going to be fine. XMR usage is more likely to flag you as a target unless your opsec is really good. |
