Have laptop AC adapters in every room I use laptop (3). Neurotic/weird or CR?

wife thinks this is weird/neutoric. i think it's CR. what's xo say? |

Date: December 7th, 2022 12:22 PM Author: razzle-dazzle bipolar turdskin That's a good idea, limiting the charge. I was unaware that you could do that with laptops. I had to install the "Lenovo Vantage" application from the Microsoft Store to get this on my Thinkpad.
I've had a couple of laptops where the battery got pretty trashed. I rarely used them on battery and kept them plugged in all the time.
I use the AccuBattery app on my Android to help limit the charge. Unfortunately you can't just set it to quit charging, the best you can do is have it set off an alarm when the charge reaches a certain level |

I have two laptops, one that is just a couple years old and another that is an old beater. When I travel, I prefer to take the old one just in case something happens to it.
If I can do a better job of preserving the battery on the newer one, it can be a more useful beater in a few years' time. |
