When I was a kid they had an embalmed dead guy, "Ed," whose body was never claimed, at the funeral home. Employees would haul him around town and take him out to bars and restaurants. Eventually a relative claimed and buried him.

Edit: Ed lasted 38 years before a relative claimed and buried him. The embalmer was proud of his work.
