Just hope dinghy still works and won't sink. Outboard motors need to be check by some other hellosir since haven't been used in 3 years so I'll need to row my dinghy from shore to boat but it's only like .6 miles I think
I think if I work hard on this for 3 or 4 weeks I'll at least clean and repaint and varnish the interior. Hopefully the electronics still work
Then I need to fix the rot outside, get a new main sail, galvanize the anchor chain so it doesn't ruse and fall off. Hopefully the rigging is okay. And I hope I don't need new batteries

edit: i read it wrong, there are four sep batteries, each is 145ah, so thats like 580ah total BUT since u dont draw the batteries below 50% he's saying there's only 290Ah at 12V... does that sound right? there are "deep cycle" which i guess is AGM? |

It is important to assess the safety needs of your boat. you did not have a survey and you still do not know the true state of your ship.
Take your boat to the best local boat yard for the repairs of the soft spot(s) and ask them to take a look and see what other work they would recommend. - report back with results.
Engine - Repair and keep running if possible but engine must be reliable. Electric is not a viable replacement. a hybrid diesel electric combo would work but is probably too expensive. If you need to redo the entire electrical system and replace the engine this might be a good idea. You need a rock solid electrical system so you can poast reliably and search the internet while performing emergency repairs at sea.
The running rigging will probably need to be replaced and the deck hardware should all be checked. The standing rigging should also be checked by an expert. Please provide the board with pictures and a report on these issues. |

Date: January 10th, 2023 8:53 AM Author: filthy stock car So today I got the keys and ljl I guess its a bit worse than I thought. The batteries seem furked, only two little lights work. Thats not really surprising, the batteries been sititng there for a few years. So ill need new batteries, prob electronic controllers and that shit. But all that shit isnt too expensive, maybe 1.5k
Then the hard dinghy had two holes with rust that just fell off when u touched it with force. Thats on the bottom ends where I guess it rubbed against the boat or shore when bringing it in. Dont know whether to get a new dinghy or just have them fix this one. Prob fix it, a cheap new inflatable chink dinghy wld be 300bucks but prob will be shit, i cld have these HELLOSIRS make a new fiber glass one but thats like 1.5k. Ill prob just order an inflatable chink dingy as a backup and have them repair this hard one.
Then the two outboard motors look like shit. Again, cld have these HELLOSIRS try to fix it but furk dont know. Maybe safer to just get new one but thats like 1.5k min
What other shit, so the HELLOSIR dood wants 3.4k to fix the deck soft spots and rot, at first I was like wtf but now that I see everything i guess thats reasonable. I talked to him in his ghetto house (all these HELLOSIRS are related and live in this little shit village by the sea thats full of disgusting muddy streets when it rains and they live in small concrete box houses)
He wants to take the boat out of water to fix the rot which wld be good. I cld prob still live on it once the power shit is sorted and it wld be easier for me to get supplies to the boat. Cld prob negotiate so he also puts a coat of new paint on the entire deck. Thats one less thing.
Then I can just work on the interior painting and refinishing.
Other issues are the solar panels, no idea if they still work. One set looks good the other that was storied inside looks dusty.
And then the furking toilet but whatever, dont need it really.
And the anchor chain needs to be galvanized but I suspect maybe its rusted to hell and i need new chain, thats another 1k or moar. Fma
Oh and then turns out the engine wasnt turned on for three years. For some reason I thought prior owner said this HELLOSIR wld come to boat once a month to run engine. I dont know if this is that bad, some online sites say its NBD u just need to have a pro do certain things to retart the engine but i dunno
Then need to order a new mainsail but thats not much work.
Overall im still under 10k additional budget assuming i dont need new rigging and the bigtime electronics still work like the furking autopilot. if the autopilot is busted thats a furking big prob as its furking like 8k though i cld prob get a windvane for 2k |

if i hired a BIRDSHIT "captain" they'd want 250-500usd a day
i dont care abt the teak nigga, why u so obbsessed with that, there are way bigger issues on the boat like the front plexiglass windows needing to be replaced (i can barely see out)
and the trampolines dont even work, have been removed by prior owner, i need to get new ones
and i dont have an electric motor, its still diesel, i WANT to get one but when i do ill of course add mega batteries and solar
the diesel im not even sure works, the throttle cable is furked and this old HELLOSIR fixed it other day but said to not move the gear too far past this one point, prob is this gear stick is in the cockpit and its super easy to hit it with ur leg moving arnd, so we fukred |

You have some of the cheapest and best labor around for that type of work. good teak is like peacock feathers for your boat. everyone sees you either strutting your stuff or walking with your tail between your legs. you will literally be turned away from fancier marinas and other boats will always be suspicious of you because you look a like a troublesome vagabond with your painted teak.

but this safety shit is retared, i cannot get a new epirb cause i need an MMSI number for that but u can only get that from the country u registered in and my registration isnt final yet, even when it is i need a radio license to get an MMSI, i dont have that, onyl a UHF whatever cert from my sailing school whcih isnt enough
u wld think they wld make safety as cheap and easy as possible but its reverse i have an irdium go on board but need SIM card and new batt, and that shit hard to find here |
